Pak -It -Place

Click on side bar to join others for Other great things to see around the world

Today we went to find a couple of garage sales with little luck, but did find a few, picked up a few things, but then Hubby wanted to go to Pak-It- Place Which is one place i just feel so out of place in. It reminds me a the dump which most of the stuff needs to be. It gets worse every time we go there which is not all that often thank goodness. Well i stayed in the car while he went looking but it didn't take him long to come back, saying I just can't handle that mess. I wonder just how much he actually sells there, as i can't imagine anyone wanting to go thru all that junk, actually I don't think it can be all that safe.

The toilets are funny.

My husband would never enjoy junk hunting. Not his thing at all. He was working on those taxes yesterday.

Good shot of the statue of liberty tax guy in the rain.

Hard to tell the difference between the trash and not the trash!

Well, this reminds me of that old saying, one man's junk is another man's treasure :) I've seen that Statue of Liberty guy over here in Northern Virginia, on a street corner in Manassas as a matter of fact. He moves fast - lol. Enjoyed your photos, thanks.

Hard to sort the trash from possible treasures in that Pack-it place, I'll bet. The liberty costume is pretty funny.

that looks like a place to go treasure hunting in. The danger involved just makes it more exciting!
We have those liberty guys around here too.

I have always wanted to visit a place like this but we don't have them here. It is sad that we don't as people could and would buy some of it.

this sort of reminds me of the Habitat For Humanity Re-use Center. When contractors have salvage or odd lots left over from a job they donate them to Habitat, and after Habitat's cherry picked what they can use, they sell off the rest in a warehouse-style store. You can find great deals there, but don't go there looking for something specific. You'd have to get incredibly lucky to find what you were looking for.

It's not as chaotic as this place seems to be though. Not nearly!
