Cascade Lakes Hwy Part 2

I wanted to share a map that takes you to the Cascade Lakes Byway

We continued on down the road by passing some of the other lakes that we will go too again at another time but we wanted to go to Hosmer Lake as there is a little campground called Fawn campground that we found last yr. Kind of neat little out of the way place but not were people don't know were it is, as it was pretty crowded. 20 camp sites for up to 30 ft motor homes $8.00 camp fee

This Lake is actually Elk Lake and great for those that like to windsurf and sail boats

It has a nice little beach area but oh my that water is cold. Princess had a good time, there was a little boy that spotted her and he came to her but all he wanted to do was pour water on her, she didn't like being that close to him.
We also heard that the radiator was boiling in the jeep, oh no not a good sign, so Nevada got some water out of the lake and poured it in the reservoir and we decided that we better head for home as we didn't want to get stranded out there, as it was pretty hot, i think the temperature was 92 degrees. Well so much for a day outing.
