To answer your question from my post, no, I didn't get a chance to try those mechanical machines this time, but the owner is generous for allowing the public to use them.

What a beautiful river. It's always interesting to try to determine where a river came from and why. Studying this one would be a hydrologist's hayday.
The river shots look like they could be anywhere in Scotland. Interesting.
I have heard wonderful things about Bend. I recall a great article in the Western Living magazine some time ago.
It looks cold there now just like up in BC.
